Changing from one system to a new system is a challenging process. The data contained in the old system has been aggregated by you over years and represent years of hard work from many employees. And, you need to maintain this data. Therefore, a high-quality migration of data to your new system is a very important task, and will enable you to easily perform later searches and reports covering a mix of data entered in the old system as well as data later entered in the new system. The migration process further holds a unique opportunity to ‘clean up’ the data from the old system in a uniform manner. We have solid experience successfully doing a number of data migrations from old to new systems. Quite similarly, we are very experienced performing highly controlled coding migrations from e.g. WHO Adverse Reaction Terminology (WHO-ART) to MedDRA. Involving all coded system data or operated on subsets of historic clinical study data or datasets received from license partners.
